The Baikonur Cosmodrome is the world’s largest active spaceport, located in the Kyzylorda region of Kazakhstan. It spans 6,717 km² and includes 15 launch complexes, 4 ICBM testing pads, and 11 assembly and testing facilities. Since 1957, it was the main launch site of the USSR and is currently leased by Russia until 2050.
